The plot revolves around Asahi Kashiwagi, a student who encounters a sequence of bizarre events on his way to school one morning, all in line with a hazy television fortune he saw that morning, and all ending in a disastrous encounter with a female. All of the girls he meets are either new students or instructors at his school. Yoshio, a self-proclaimed "friend of Asahi," suspects Asahi because of his past knowledge of the females. After school, he receives a love letter in his shoe locker, instructing him to come to the cherry blossom tree outside school, again according to his morning fate. Asahi goes to the cherry blossom tree to see what is in store for him.
