Jun Naruse is a chatty girl whose life is influenced by fairy tales and happy endings. However, she is too innocent and trusting, inspired by her great conviction in those tales, and her words soon ruin her family's closeness when she unwittingly uncovers her father's affair. Naruse is scarred for life after being blamed for her parents' divorce, and her regrets soon form as a fairy egg—a creature who closes her lips and prevents her from speaking in order to ensure everyone's happy ending. Even in high school, Naruse's speech is still bound by the fairy egg. Her stomach twists even when she tries to talk. Despite her inability to express herself verbally, she is surprisingly picked to participate in a musical alongside three other students: Takumi Sakagami, Natsuki Nitou, and Daiki Tasaki. Naruse makes her way to the club room to reject the daunting task, but changes her mind when she overhears Sakagami's beautiful singing.
