Inuyasha, Kagome Higurashi, and their allies must continue their search for the few remaining Shikon Gem shards, lest they entirely solidify into a corrupted jewel at Naraku's hands. But Naraku has his own ideas for acquiring them, and he will eliminate everybody and anything that stands in his path, including his own subordinates. The constant, uncompromising threat posed by Naraku drives Sango and Miroku to choose between each other and their duty in war. Meanwhile, Inuyasha must choose between Kikyou and Kagome before fate decides for him. In the midst of the rush to discover the shards, Inuyasha and his brother Sesshoumaru must reconcile their enmity and work together for their ultimate battle with Naraku.
